Asus ZenFone 4 Max with 5,000mAh battery, dual-rear cameras unveiled

As widely speculated, Asus has launched successor of its ZenFone 3 series, Asus ZenFone 4. The Taiwanese company has unveiled Asus ZenFone 4 Max, the first smartphone to launch under ZenFone 4 series.

The highlight of ZenFone 4 Max is its 5000 mAh battery and dual-rear camera set-up. The smartphone is first expected to go on sale in Russia soon, priced at 13900 rubel onwards. The company has so far not said anything about the smartphone’s India availability.

Talking about specifications, Asus ZenFone 4 Max smartphone sports a 5.5-inch display with resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. The smartphone comes in two variants. One is powered by octa-core Snapdragon 430 processor, the other runs on quad-core Snapdragon 425 processor.

Both the variants have 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage, expandable up to 256GB via a microSD card.

 Asus ZenFone 4 comes with Android 7.0 Nougat OS out-of-the-box. As for photos, the smartphone has a pair of 13-megapixel cameras at the back with an f/2.0 aperture and autofocus. The front camera is 8-megapixel.
Asus is speculated to launch five smartphones in the ZenFone series in this month. According to a thread on Asus forum (asus.com/zentalk), ZenFone 4 Max is likely to come in four variants other than ZenFone 4 Max. These include ZenFone 4 Selfie, ZenFone 4, ZenFone 4V and ZenFone 4 Pro. The company is initially said to be aiming a May launch for these smartphones.
