Apple Announces Reward For Kid Who First Reported FaceTime Bug

Apple has announced that it would reward 14-year-old Arizona resident, Grant Thompson, who originally discovered the scary FaceTime eavesdropping bug last month.

In a statement on Thursday, the tech giant said it would not only make a contribution towards Thompson’s education, but also compensate the family monetarily.

“In addition to addressing the bug that was reported, our team conducted a thorough security audit of the FaceTime service and made additional updates to both the FaceTime app and server to improve security”, the company said.
