Months after introducing its flagship smartphone of 2018, the Zenfone 5Z, Asus has finally launched the smartphone in India. The device comes in three variants based on different RAM and storage capacities.

You can get your hands on the device exclusively from Flipkart along with several bank offers, EMI and no cost EMI options. The 4GB RAM+64GB storage variant costs Rs 29,999, while the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage and 8GB RAM + 256GB storage models can be purchased at Rs 32,999 and Rs 36,999 respectively. It will be available from Flipkart in two colour variants – Meteor Silver and Midnight Blue.

The smartphone falls in the Flipkart’s Complete Mobile Protection program that includes free pick up and drop for devices, free fixing of accidental damages and more. If you are using ICICI bank debit or credit cards, you will get flat Rs 3,000 off on the device. There are offers for Jio users as well.
Asus Zenfone 5Z specifications and features

Running Android 8.0 Oreo-based ZenUI 5.0, the dual-SIM supporting Asus Zenfone 5Z has a 6.2-inch full HD+ (1080×2246 pixels) resolution Super IPS+ display with 90% screen to body ratio and 19:9 aspect ratio. There is also a notch on top of the screen that can be hidden as well.

Running Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor, the smartphone like we mentioned above comes in 4GB, 6GB and 8GB RAM options along with Adreno 630 GPU. At the launch event, Asus also touted the integration of AI in the smartphone. It includes AI elements in battery optimisation, call/notification alerts and the camera.

Talking about the camera, the Zenfone 5Z supports dual rear cameras. The setup includes a 12MP Sony IMX363 sensor with f/1.8 aperture and 1.4um pixel size, along with an 8MP secondary camera with 120-degree wide angle lens. Both are supported by AI-based scene recognition. At the front there is an 8MP camera with f/2.0 aperture and 84-degree field of view. The front camera also has PixelMaster camera modes. You can record videos at 4K resolution and 60fps and 240fps slow motion video at 1080p and 720p resolution. All three cameras support EIS as well.

One of the Asus exclusive features that debuts in India is the ZenMoji (Live Emoji).

Some of the features you get in the Zenfone 5Z is face recognition, fingerprint sensor, dual speakers with dual NXP Smart Amp and DTS Headphone X 7.1 virtual surround sound support, triple microphones with Asus Noise Reduction technology and more.

Backing the smartphone is a 3300mAh battery that supports fast charging tech. It also has AI-integrated battery management system that protects the battery.
