Asus Zenfone Live smartphone gets a price cut of Rs 1,000

Taiwanese handset maker Asus has announced a price cut for its Asus Zenfone Live smartphone in India. Launched earlier in May at Rs 8,999, the device will now be available at Rs 7,999.

The main highlight of the Asus Zenfone Live smartphone is that it comes with ‘real-time’ beautification feature called the BeautyLive. This is a beautification app, claims to capture ‘beautiful’ selfies as well as remove blemishes in real-time. According to the company, this feature is especially helpful during live streaming and video chats.

In terms of specs, the Asus Zenfone Live features a 5-inch Bluelight filter and Asus TruVivid HD display with 720×1280 pixel resolution. It comes with a 13MP primary camera with LED flash and f/20 aperture. On the front, it has a 5MP camera with soft LED and 82-degree wide angle lens. There’s also the usual set of PixelMaster camera modes included. The camera runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system out-of-the-box and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor paired with 2GB of RAM. The smartphone offers 16GB internal storage and supports microSD cards of up to 128GB Backed by a non-removable 2,650mAh battery, the Asus Zenfone Live offers 4G LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS in terms of connectivity.

 Recently, Asus also slashed the price of its Zenfone 3 Max smartphone in India. Launched in in November last year at a price tag of Rs 12,999, the smartphone is now available at Rs 9,999 after the price cut. The Asus Zenfone 3 Max Asmartphone is available at all the leading e-commerce and retail stores in the country at its new price tag.
The USP of the Zenfone Max 3 is its 4100mAh battery that is claimed to deliver about 30 days of standby time and up to 20 hours of talktime on 3G. Additionally, the smartphone also works as a power bank, and comes with a USB OTG cable to enable users to connect and charge other devices. In terms of other specs, the device has a 5.2-inch HD display of 720×1280 pixels resolution.

Powered by a 1.25GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6737T processor paired with 3GB of RAM, it has a 32GB of internal storage which can be expanded up to 32GB by adding a microSD card. On the camera front, the Zenfone Max 3 features a 13MP rear camera with f/2.2 aperture and dual LED flash. It also features a 5MP front-facing camera with f/2.4 aperture. The smartphone runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system topped with the Zen UI 3.0 of the company.
