NEW DELHI: HMD Global is all set to launch its Nokia 8 smartphone in India. The company has scheduled a launch event for tomorrow (September 26) where it will unveil the device.

The Nokia 8 sports a dual rear camera setup which comes with Carl Zeiss optics. The smartphone feature two 13MP sensors at the rear end. The company claims that first lens shoots coloured shots with OIS while the second sensor takes monochrome shots. The primary camera has an aperture of f/2.0 along with PDAF and dual-tone flash.

Nokia 8 is also the company’s first device to come with Nokia OZO audio, which is a 360-degree audio technology for better multimedia experience. The cameras can also capture videos in 4K resolution. At the front, there is a 13MP camera with f/2.0 aperture and display flash.

The smartphone also offers a new feature called ‘Bothie’ or Dual-Sight mode. The feature uses both front and rear cameras to show both angles on the screen. The feature can be used for live streaming on YouTube and Facebook.

The phone will be available in four colours — polished blue, polished copper, tempered blue and steel.
The smartphone comes with a 5.3-inch QHD display with 1440×2560 pixels resolution and runs Android 7.1.1 Nougat operating system. The device is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor coupled with 4GB of RAM. It also comes with 64GB of internal storage which can be expanded up to 256GB by inserting a microSD card.
The smartphone measures 151.5×73.7×7.9mm and packs a 3090mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge support. On the connectivity front, it offers 4G, VoLTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS and NFC.
