OnePlus 5T to go sale in India on November 21 exclusively for Amazon Prime Members

NEW DELHI: Chinese smartphone maker OnePlus is all set to unveil its latest smartphone OnePlus 5T today at the global launch event in New York. It was earlier confirmed that the smartphone will be exclusively available on Amazon like the other OnePlus devices. Now, the e-commerce giant has confirmed that OnePlus 5T will go on sale on the Amazon India website from November 21 for Amazon Prime members.

Amazon India is running a dedicated page for the OnePlus 5T, which reveals that the sale will begin from 4.30 pm in India. After the November 21 sale, the company will follow the traditional flash sale model and the shipping of the smartphone will begin from November 28 in India.

Recently, a report surfaced online suggesting that the OnePlus 5T will come with the same price tag as the OnePlus 5. The 6GB RAM variant of the smartphone is likely to be priced at Rs 32,999, while the 8GB RAM version will cost Rs 37,999.

Talking about the specifications, it is rumoured that the device will offer similar specifications as the OnePlus 5 with some changes. The OnePlus 5T will come with a bezel less display with 18:9 aspect ratio. As per earlier reports, the device will sport a 6.01-inch full HD+ display with 1080×2160 pixels resolution. The display will be protected with a coating of Corning Gorilla Glass 5. The device will run Android 7.1 Nougat operating system and will be updated to Android 8.0 Oreo by the end of this year.

The smartphone is said to be powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 835 processor with Adreno 540 GPU. The OnePlus 5T is said to sport a dual rear camera setup just like the OnePlus 5. The rear of the device will house a 16MP IMX398 sensor along with f/1.7 aperture. The secondary rear camera will come with a 20MP Sony IMX376K camera sensor with f/1.7 aperture and dual LED flash. There will also be a 16MP Sony IMX 371 sensor with f/2.0 aperture on the front for selfies. It is having a 3300mAh battery with Dash charging support.
