NEW DELHI: As suggested by the company a few days ago, OnePlus has finally started distributing OxygenOS 4.5.8 for its OnePlus 5 smartphones. The company recently rolled out its OxygenOS 4.5.7 to users. That particular OS version, however, came with a bug that didn’t allow users to play games on OnePlus 5. As a result, the company pulled up the OS versions and said it will solve the issue in the v4.5.8.

The OxygenOS v4.5.8 comes with the same features and upgrades that were introduced in the v4.5.7. However, the bug that created issues while playing games on the OnePlus 5, has now been solved.

Besides the bug, the OS version also had occasional sound leaks in the smartphone speakers, camera shutter sound bug and battery drain for Jio users. The OxygenOS version 4.5.7 came with a new OnePlus Slate font along with an electronic image stabilisation feature while recording 4K videos. The V4.5.8 also comes with almost the same features. The update also brought the Android security patch to July 1 and the latest GMS package. In terms of optimisations, the firmware version improved Wi-Fi connectivity and standby battery enhancements.

For now, the company has launched the Soft Gold colour variant of the smartphone. The device has launched in India at Rs 32,999. The device only comes in 6GB RAM model via Amazon India or OnePlus India stores.
The company claims that the finish of the all-new Soft Gold OnePlus 5 is 30% finer than the Soft Gold versions of the OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T, courtesy its sandblasting process. The OnePlus 5 Soft Gold even has the antenna lines on top and bottom in same golden finish as the rest of the device. The front panel is white in colour. Rest of the specifications remain the same.
